QUALISOY Celebrates Deregulation of Vistive® Gold High Oleic Soybeans

QUALISOY Sees New Opportunities from High Oleic Soybean Oil – for the Food Industry and Farmers

ST. LOUIS, January 6, 2012 – QUALISOY applauds the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) approval of Monsanto’s petition for the deregulation of MON 87705, the biotech trait in Vistive® Gold soybeans. This completes the U.S. regulatory process and sets the stage for commercial availability of Vistive Gold.

“The USDA’s approval of Vistive Gold gives the food industry a new option that provides improved stability, zero grams of trans fat and lower saturated fat compared to commodity soybean oil,” said John Becherer, QUALISOY CEO. “QUALISOY welcomes this approval as another step in providing new soybean oils that offer benefits for not only the food industry, but farmers and consumers as well.”

Vistive Gold soybean oil contains 60 percent less saturated fat and significantly increased monounsaturated fat compared with conventional soybean oil.
